Joint Reparations

When oak components in a full oak frame begin to rot away this can affect the structural integrity of the building. Removing the full frame and re-framing can be a very costly and time-consuming task. At Trad Oak we are able to repair section joints in situ. You can see in these shots the oak sections that have rotted away and been replaced with reclaimed oak joints.

This repair was carried out as some of the section joints had rotted away. These sections were cut out and new joints fitted in situ. You can see that reclaimed oak has been used, and cut in with the grain of the oak and tolerances tight enough to be barely seen.

At our 1.5-acre yard in Sussex, we are stacked up with vast amounts of oak, both air-dried and reclaimed, ready for use in construction.
